Hawaii again...

Well, its finally happened. I am back in Hawaii and back at school after almost two and a 1/2 years of absence. Can you believe that? I flew into hawaii yesterday at about 2pm and have since, unpacked my things (still no room-mate), meets some of the guy in my hall (like Derek and Brett and Jordan) and even spent a day at the beach (ad getting burnt again too, but not as bad as last time). Over all its kind of weird being back here. Its all so familiar to me. Like i have only been gone a few months. But still, it feels like i have not been here in forever.

Had a great time at the beach today. Went to Wiamea Bay and just had a blast playing in the water. We even saw a few sea turtles and a huge school of fish. All and all it was a great way to begin my stint in paradise. I even learned that the internet is free in the dorms this semester. How cool is that?

My one complaint is that i still do not have my ID. I have a lot of running around to do on Monday morning. Mostly paying for things, and get things set up for this semester. Like a job and all that. but things will work out. i am sure of that. Well i have got to get to bed. So good night all...

Boise and Back again...A Drewish Adventure

well its been a while Kids. And i guess this is the part where i put down how my life is going and what has been up with me these past few weeks. Well not much.....ok a ton has gone on. I took a trip this past week. Kind of a last hurrah before i head off to collage and i must say that it was alot of fun. I went down to Provo for a few days to see an old friend and meet some new one. I saw Lisa for the first time in like 2 years. We went and had Indian Food and had ice cream at a fabled place called Leatherby's, where Lisa commenced to kick my trash at Egyptian War,

The next day i went to Lagoon with Lisa and Anna (who lives in Lisa's old apartment) and had a rousing good time full of fun and frivality involving rollercoasters and an Apple Icee. We had a lot of fun that is to be sure. After we went back to the apartment and had pizza while watching a Baliwood movie called Bride and Prejudice. I must say it was one of the funnier movies that was not suppost to be funny. Then Rachel (another new friend i met) came home. We played several bored agames before i said my good byes and made a break for home.

The next two days i spent in the magical city of boise. I kind of did a mission tour and saw all my old companions and my mission president. It was a good trip and i really needed to see some people out there. Kind of close out that chapter of my life. It was kind of strange going back there though. Weird and all to familiar at the same time. But it was good for some closeser on the old Mish.

My little brother and i drove back to wyoming that monday morning. It was a long drive past the tetons and through the rolling hills of wyoming. But we had harry potter 6 to listen to, so it went by fast. And now i am back here in Thermopolis. We are going down to denver this coming tuesday as my brother and i are flying out to the next chapter of our lives. He goes to his senior year and i go off to collage again.

All and all its been a crazy but productive summer. But i am ready to get on with the rest of my life and open a new chapter...

Best dang show in the know Verse, thats what i reckon...

I just got done watching one of the best shows i have ever seen. FIREFLY!!! I was introduced to this incredible show by none other then my good friend Becky! Its and awesome show that blends western and sci/fi together to get one heck of a show about guns, space cowboys, hot mechanic girsl, and a girl that can kill with her brain (yes its true). So go! Don't just sit there! Go and buy a copy and live 15 hours of Firefly awesomeness.

And as a parting gift, The theme song:
Take my love, take my land / Take me where I cannot stand / I don't care, I'm still free / You can't take the sky from me / Take me out to the black / Tell 'em I ain't comin' back / Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me / There's no place I can be / Since I found serenity / But you can't take the sky from me

I am headed out to the Black.

Home, Home on the Range

yep, i am still out here in Wyoming. Just taking my time in the high deserts of this flat land. Not that i am bitter or anything. Truly i am not. I like it here in Thermopolis. Its kind of the calm before the storm that will be college. For those of you who did not know, I will be heading back to BYU-Hawaii in about 3 weeks. Less than that actually! But still, as excited as i am about it. Its still going to be nerve wracking to get back into the swing of college life.

In other news, today is actually a very special day and not just because i am updating my blog. Today would have been my first day home from my mission if i had stayed in Boise and not come home due to medical reasons beyond my control. Its all kind of surreal actually. I look back on these past 7 months and wonder how diffrent my life would be if i had stayed. It would be totally different i can tell you that. And i am not sure it would be better either. I think about all the expreience i have had and the progress i have made (though some don't think i have progressed much). I am happy about where i have been and where i am going. So i guess today is all about reflection of where i have been. and the realization that i am happy about it. yeah, i am happy about that and happy about who i am and where i am going.

Thats about it for me my friends.
