Hawaiian Rhapsody

Today is the 11th of september and i am here in the library waiting for my friend Katie to get done with a quiz so we can go and watch a movie. So i thought i would update you all on how things are going with me and how life has settled her in hawaii. Things are going really good. We are in the third week of the semester and my work load is not as bad as i thought it would be. I did spend the entire day in the library though. I was doing homework and even wrote an essay for my english class. A few more edits and it should be done.

My Mom came and saw me this past week end. We had a lot of fun. We just hung out and went to wal-mart and Red Lobster. She even got to come to my Ward and listen to me teach this past sunday. Most importantly she bought me things and gave me money, which every college student needs. But i love her for more than that.

Life out here in hawaii is pretty intresting. I am always walking places and excersising. I hike and swim pretty much everyday. I get really tired though. I have not been sleeping well these past few nights. but i did end up getting a fan the other day from wal-mart and i have been sleeping much better now.

Its also amazing to see all the familiar faces around campus. So many people have left and then come back just at the time i have come back. Its kind of bizzare. But its fun. I am meeting new people all the time. The guys in my unit are really cool too (that previous Jordan one is really a guy named Gordan. I will refer to him properly from here on out.) We all are pretty close now. We hang out and do things, like we all went hiking last week to Waimea Falls. Its a good 2 hour trek up there, but it was worth it. The Falls are 20 ft high and it was lots of fun to jump off them into the 12ft deep pool below. The water was great after all that hiking. The only problem was the shrimp that lived in the pool kept pinching at us. But it was still a fun trip.

All and all life is going very well for me. I enjoy my classes, i have good friends. I even got into the Fall Play. Things are good. What can i say more?
